Braid Poly Rope

Braid Poly Rope

Braid poly rope is a lightweight line, easy to splice and resistant to most chemicals. The excellent color stability, rot proof properties and the fact that it floats on water make it ideal for several applications. It is also good for harnesses, leashes and bridles for dogs (it can withstand their abrasion) as well as for yachting equipment. It has good chemical resistance to acids, alkalis, oils and organic solvents. Animal sweat does not affect the tensile strength and it does not conduct electricity. It is easy to fuse using a hot air gun or solder at temperatures of around 165 deg C. It is not damaged by sunlight and it does not corrode. It has a low specific gravity and does not react with most halogens. More info https://www.ravenox.com/collections/mfp-rope

Beyond the Knot: Unraveling the Benefits of Polypropylene Line for Various Applications”

It is important to distinguish the various fibres used in ropes so that proper safety procedures can be followed. The sense of smell is not an effective method of identification, since it can be influenced by the coatings and pollutants to which the rope has been exposed. The best way to identify the fibres is by their colour, which can be done by examining the marker yarn. Table 3 shows the colour codes for the different fibres used in ropes.

Hollow braid polypropylene is an economical, versatile and easily spliced rope with good resistance to UV, salt and most chemicals. It is the cheapest of all the general purpose synthetics, yet is stronger than manila and withstands shock. It has excellent resistance to rot, abrasion, mildew and petroleum products.
