Tuesday night I downloaded the new release of Wolfgang's Suska (Atari-ST) project and extracted the 68K core. I then built Cabal to see if it gets any further... but ran into a technical problem with Quartus v7.2 SP3 and old SOPC projects - I can't load the .ptf files into SOPC Builder now. :( That means I can't build my sram-loader project to seed the P2 SRAM with the Cabal ROMs...

And tonight (Thursday) I finally fired up the DE1. Nice little board!

I installed Quartus v8.0 SP1 and re-built a few projects for P2, but haven't run them on the hardware yet.

Instead, I ported the Midway8080 games to the DE1. They all seem to run, but no PS2 input and I can't tell if the sound is working, since I can't start a game. Haven't looked too closely at it yet...

I also built the DE1 port of Minimig (not my work) under Quartus v8.0 SP1 and it runs OK - I can boot Hybris and Battle Squadron from SD-card!

Better than nothing eh!?!
