Built GALAXIAN for the DE1 with the new Quartus. Same problem with the sprites. Never did work out why most of the sprite logic was being optimised out of the design in all projects except Pacman for some really weird reason. Time to go through the compiler output again with a fine-tooth comb.

Might be a good time to give the sprites a fresh lick of paint. It's probably one of the oldest modules in the design - a legacy of a reference design done a very long time ago - in Altium schematic no less. Blech!
